Calea Mosilor, located in the heart of Bucharest, was once a bustling commercial and cultural street. However, during the 1970s and 1980s, many of the old buildings were replaced by high-rise apartments, and the community life that once thrived began to disappear. Today, the area faces numerous sociological and urbanistic problems, but still holds much potential. As part of a broader effort to revitalize Bucharest’s city center, this project proposes creating public spaces that feature cultural, educational, and commercial activities. By doing so, the hope is to restore the vitality of Calea Mosilor and reconnect the community with its historic past. These public spaces will provide a much-needed venue for social interaction and help to create a sense of place that is missing from the area.
